From the all-foil 30th Celebration to 151, Prismatic Evolutions and the new Mega Evolution sets, these are the Pokémon Elite Trainer Boxes we would open first.
An Elite Trainer Box is the Pokémon TCG's all-in-one set box: booster packs, sleeves, energy, dice and a storage box built around one expansion. Across every era on our shelves, from the 25th anniversary Celebrations to the new Mega Evolution sets, our number one is the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box, the anniversary set where every card is foil.
The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box is live now at PUSHAS alongside the rest of our Pokémon trading cards collection, and every box is sealed and authenticated by hand. For the full set breakdown, read every 30th Celebration product explained.
Every Elite Trainer Box is themed around one expansion, and the formula holds from era to era: a run of booster packs, card sleeves in the set's artwork, Basic Energy cards, dice, a player's guide and a reusable collector's box with dividers. Recent boxes add a promo card too. Players get sleeves, energy and dice for a new deck; collectors get a display box and, in recent boxes, a promo card.
The Pokémon Center version of the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box adds two extra booster packs and a second Nidorina promo with the Pokémon Center logo.
These are our picks, judged on the set's theme and artwork, what makes the contents special, where the set sits in the game's history, and how the box displays. Every box on this list is in stock right now.
The 30th Celebration set marks thirty years of Pokémon, and every card in it is foil. Each booster pack holds five foil cards and a foil Basic Energy, and one of the five is always a Pikachu, drawn from 30 different Pikachu cards across the set's 128 main cards. A 30-card Classic Collection brings back cards from the game's history, and the new Futuristic Rare treatment lands on Mewtwo ex and Mew ex.
The 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box holds nine booster packs, a Nidorina promo card and 16 foil Basic Energy cards alongside the gameplay accessories. Booster packs from this set are sold only inside special products such as this box.
Released on 22 September 2023, 151 went back to the start: a 207-card special set covering every one of the original Kanto Pokémon, from Bulbasaur to Mew, rebuilt with Scarlet & Violet era illustration rares and special illustration rares. Venusaur ex, Charizard ex and Blastoise ex headline the starters.
The 151 Elite Trainer Box is the most nostalgic box on this list and the simplest gift for anyone who grew up with Red and Blue. Read the story behind 151 for more.
Prismatic Evolutions arrived on 17 January 2025 as a special set built around Eevee and all eight of its Evolutions, each given the Stellar Tera type as a Pokémon ex. Umbreon ex, Sylveon ex, Espeon ex and the rest share the spotlight, and the set includes Poké Ball and Master Ball holofoil variants.
The Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box features Eevee's Evolutions on the box artwork.
Five years before the 30th, Celebrations marked the 25th anniversary of Pokémon and of the trading card game itself. Released on 8 October 2021, it is a compact 50-card set: 25 new cards featuring legendary Pokémon and Flying and Surfing Pikachu, plus a 25-card Classic Collection of reprinted cards from the game's early years.
The Celebrations Elite Trainer Box sits naturally beside the 30th Celebration box as its anniversary partner.
Destined Rivals, released on 30 May 2025, brought back Team Rocket's Pokémon and paired it with Pokémon tied to named Trainers: Cynthia's Garchomp ex, Ethan's Pokémon, Misty's Gyarados and Arven's Mabosstiff ex among them.
The Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is the pick for Team Rocket fans, with Rocket's Pokémon and the Trainers who oppose them in one set.
Surging Sparks landed on 8 November 2024 with Pikachu ex as its headline card, as a Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, continuing the Stellar Tera mechanic of late Scarlet & Violet.
The Surging Sparks Elite Trainer Box is a bright, Pikachu-led box that pairs naturally with the 30th Celebration pick above.
Phantasmal Flames, released on 14 November 2025, is a 130-card set from the Mega Evolution era with Mega Charizard X ex at its centre, supported by Mega Gengar ex, Mega Heracross ex and Mega Lopunny ex.
The Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box puts Mega Charizard X on the front of the box. Our Phantasmal Flames Elite Trainer Box guide goes deeper.
