Description
The ASICS x Cecilie Bahnsen Gel-Cumulus 16 'Glacier Grey Pure Silver' (2025) represents a refined meeting point between performance running heritage and contemporary couture design. Reworking a classic ASICS runner through Bahnsen’s distinctive design language, the collaboration transforms the archival Gel-Cumulus 16 silhouette into a fashion-forward statement while preserving its technical foundations. The result is a sneaker that merges sport functionality with delicate, sculptural aesthetics—an approach that has become synonymous with Bahnsen’s reinterpretation of athletic footwear. Overview The ASICS x Cecilie Bahnsen Gel-Cumulus 16 'Glacier Grey Pure Silver' features a soft grey tonal palette that emphasizes texture and craftsmanship. A lightweight mesh base in Glacier Grey delivers breathability, while layered synthetic overlays provide structure and durability. Signature to Bahnsen’s design philosophy, floral-inspired detailing appears across the upper, introducing a sculptural dimension that contrasts with the technical running silhouette. Metallic Pure Silver accents add a reflective finish that elevates the otherwise muted palette. Underfoot, the sneaker retains the performance DNA of the original Gel-Cumulus 16, incorporating ASICS’ GEL cushioning technology for shock absorption and comfort. The midsole construction is designed for balanced support and smooth transitions, staying true to the model’s roots as a reliable daily trainer. Co-branding elements and refined material choices complete the collaboration, resulting in a sneaker that blends sport innovation with high-fashion sensibility. Key Highlights • Fashion Meets Performance: Cecilie Bahnsen reimagines the ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 with couture-inspired floral detailing while maintaining its running heritage. • Glacier Grey and Pure Silver Palette: A clean tonal grey base accented by metallic silver elements creates a refined, modern aesthetic. • Authentic GEL Cushioning Comfort: ASICS GEL technology delivers shock absorption and everyday comfort rooted in the performance running design of the Gel-Cumulus line.
