The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Infrared Salesman' (CT8529-001), widely called the 'Reverse Infrared', brings a never-released 1999 seasonal preview sample to general release. Released on 14 February 2026, it runs Infrared across almost the entire midsole instead of limiting it to the heel and toe.
Overview
Michael Jordan won his first championship in the Infrared Air Jordan 6. In 1999 Jordan Brand showed this alternate version as a salesman sample, then shelved it, and the black and Infrared pair that released in 2000 took its place. It stayed unreleased for more than 25 years before this 35th-anniversary release.
The upper is black nubuck with the Air Jordan 6's signature perforated panels. Light Crimson hits the midsole, tongue Jumpman, lace lock and Nike Air heel logo, and a visible Air unit sits in the heel. Jordan Brand reshaped the toe to match the 1991 original, added a Dynamic Fit inner sleeve and raised the tongue 2mm to match MJ's game pairs.
The Air Jordan 6 Reverse Infrared is for collectors who know the history. Sample text printed inside the collar and a factory-style hangtag nod to its preview-sample origins, while the black base keeps it easy to wear.
