The POP MART THE MONSTERS × HELLO KITTY Vinyl Plush Doll represents a coveted crossover between two powerhouses of collectible culture. POP MART, the Beijing-based designer toy company that has redefined the global art toy market since its founding in 2010, joins forces with Sanrio's beloved Hello Kitty — a character that has maintained iconic status since her creation in 1974. This collaboration merges POP MART's acclaimed THE MONSTERS series, originally designed by celebrated Chinese artist Lang — known for his whimsical, creature-driven aesthetic — with the universally adored Hello Kitty, resulting in a figure that bridges Eastern designer toy artistry with one of the most recognizable characters in the world.
Overview
This vinyl plush doll seamlessly blends the signature stylistic DNA of both brands. THE MONSTERS series is renowned for its endearing yet slightly mischievous character designs, and this collaboration reimagines those beloved creatures through the lens of Hello Kitty's charm. The figure features POP MART's hallmark attention to detail in its vinyl construction, paired with plush elements that add a tactile, collectible dimension. As with POP MART's wider catalogue, the piece reflects the company's commitment to elevating designer toys into legitimate art objects — a philosophy that propelled the brand to its listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2020. The collaboration speaks to the growing intersection of art, fashion, and collectibles, appealing to both seasoned POP MART collectors and dedicated Sanrio enthusiasts alike.
Key Highlights
Prestigious Designer Collaboration: Unites POP MART's THE MONSTERS series by artist Lang with Sanrio's globally iconic Hello Kitty, creating a fusion of contemporary Chinese art toy design and Japanese kawaii culture.
Premium Vinyl Plush Construction: Combines POP MART's signature vinyl craftsmanship with soft plush materials, offering both display-worthy aesthetics and a tactile, collectible quality.
Highly Collectible Crossover Appeal: Positioned at the intersection of two passionate collector communities, this piece carries significant appeal for art toy enthusiasts, Sanrio fans, and designer collectible investors seeking limited collaborative releases.
