Description

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High "Not for Resale" 'Varsity Red' (2018) is one of the most recognizable special-edition Air Jordan 1 releases of the late 2010s. Released as part of Nike and Jordan Brand's "Not for Resale" pack, the sneaker playfully challenges sneaker resale culture through bold, printed warning labels and exaggerated branding applied across the upper. While the messaging references retail practices, the release quickly became one of the year's most sought-after Air Jordan 1s thanks to its premium construction, unmistakable color blocking, and collectible appeal. Built on the iconic Air Jordan 1 High silhouette originally introduced in 1985, the sneaker combines heritage basketball design with contemporary storytelling, making it a standout piece for both longtime Jordan enthusiasts and modern collectors.

Overview

The sneaker features a premium white tumbled leather base contrasted by vibrant Varsity Red leather overlays across the mudguard, eyestays, heel, and collar. Black leather Swooshes provide sharp contrast, while a matching black collar and tongue branding maintain the classic Chicago-inspired aesthetic. Distinctive graphic details set this edition apart, including "NO PHOTOS" printed across the heels, "PLEASE CREASE" on the toe box, "WEAR ME" across the midsoles, and "NOT FOR RESALE" boldly displayed on the midsole. Additional details such as mismatched "LEFT" and "RIGHT" text on the insoles and warning-inspired typography reinforce the sneaker's tongue-in-cheek concept. A white midsole and Varsity Red rubber outsole complete the timeless look. Authenticity is guaranteed with PUSHAS, where every pair is meticulously authenticated by our team of experts before dispatch.
