The Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Cardinal' GS (2022) revitalizes one of Tinker Hatfield’s most celebrated designs with a colorway that pays homage to the legendary Air Jordan 7 ‘Cardinal’. Released in grade school sizing, this 2022 rendition blends iconic heritage with bold, modern updates, positioning itself as a standout within the Air Jordan 3 lineup. Combining classic color blocking with premium materials, it continues the legacy of the Jordan Brand while appealing to a new generation of sneaker enthusiasts.
Overview
The upper is crafted from a crisp white tumbled leather, delivering a clean and durable base. Signature elephant print overlays wrap the toe and heel in a cement grey finish, preserving the AJ3's original design DNA. Bright “Cardinal Red” accents energize the eyelets, inner lining, and midsole, delivering a vivid contrast that nods to the Air Jordan 7 colorway from 1992. Touches of “Light Curry” on the Jumpman logo and tongue trim inject a subtle pop of gold, enhancing the overall richness of the palette. Anchored by a white midsole and a grey rubber outsole, the sneaker blends performance with visual impact, making it both a functional and fashionable choice for everyday wear.
Key Highlights
• Homage to the Air Jordan 7 ‘Cardinal’: Integrates the famed Cardinal Red and Light Curry hues as a tribute to the iconic 1992 AJ7 colorway.
• Premium White Tumbled Leather Upper: Delivers durability and a refined finish, offering comfort without compromising on style.
• Classic Elephant Print Overlays: Maintains the original AJ3 detailing on the heel and toe for a touch of retro authenticity.
