The ASICS Gel-NYC RGD 'Grey Metallic Silver' (2026) expands the brand’s fast-rising lifestyle runner portfolio with a design that blends archival performance cues and contemporary streetwear appeal. Built on the proven Gel-NYC platform, this edition applies a clean grey and metallic silver palette that underscores the silhouette’s layered construction and technical identity. The RGD variant—widely understood as a rugged interpretation of the standard Gel-NYC—leans into tougher material choices while preserving the comfort-first formula that has helped make the model a standout in today’s retro-runner market. According to release listings, this colorway launched on March 2, 2026.
Overview
The upper references early-2000s ASICS running heritage, drawing inspiration from the GEL-NIMBUS 3 and incorporating details associated with the GEL-MC PLUS V. For the RGD edition, ASICS specifies layered upper construction with rugged-feeling synthetic leather overlays and mesh underlays, delivering a structured look with breathable support. The Grey Metallic Silver finish enhances the shoe’s technical lines, while the sole unit uses GEL-CUMULUS 16 tooling for a contrast between retro styling and modern cushioning. Rearfoot and forefoot GEL technology combine with lightweight foams to create dependable comfort for everyday wear. Authenticity is guaranteed with PUSHAS, where every pair is meticulously authenticated by our team of experts.
