The New Balance 993 Made in England ‘Pink Taffy’ takes a beloved institution in the sneaker world and dresses it in a refreshingly soft pastel palette while upholding the premium craftsmanship the 99X series is known for. Originally released in 2008 as a successor to the 992—drawing on the legacy of the 991—the 993 introduced a mesh base complemented by suede overlays and engineered cushioning such as ABZORB technology.
Overview
This particular ‘Pink Taffy’ iteration shifts the focus from performance to lifestyle elegance: its pig-suede overlays arrive in a pastel pink hue layered over black mesh and accented with slate-grey and black midsole and heel detailing, reflecting a sophisticated balance of heritage running DNA and contemporary colour-story. Crafted in England (or part of the “Made in England” badge variant) this version underscores New Balance’s commitment to quality manufacturing while offering an aesthetic that resonates with sneaker collectors and style-centric wearers alike.
Key Highlights
• Premium Heritage Build: Combines mesh base with pig-suede overlays and luxe materials, drawing directly from the original 993’s premium construction philosophy.
• Signature Comfort Technology: Features cushioning technologies like ABZORB and full-length midsole support that deliver the ride comfort the 99X line is famed for.
• Striking ‘Pink Taffy’ Colourway: Pastel pink suede overlays on a contrasting black and slate grey foundation create a refined yet standout aesthetic, making it versatile for lifestyle wear.
