The 2025 Air Jordan 12 Retro ‘Taxi’ brings back one of the most iconic and revered colorways in the Jordan Brand canon, faithfully reviving the beloved original from 1996. Revered for its high‑contrast palette and premium construction, this retro drops as part of the Holiday 2025 lineup, merging classic heritage with contemporary wearability that appeals to both longtime collectors and new fans alike. The design’s striking white, black, and “Taxi” yellow palette is deeply rooted in sneaker history, while the build pays homage to the model’s pioneering performance legacy.
Overview
Returning on November 8, 2025, the Air Jordan 12 Retro ‘Taxi’ (style code CT8013‑117) celebrates the famed original colorway first seen on courts during the 1996–97 NBA season. The silhouette showcases a crisp white leather upper contrasted with textured black mudguard overlays, delivering a bold yet timeless aesthetic. Metallic gold eyelets punctuate the lacing system, paying homage to the shoe’s premium detailing, while subtle pops of red—such as the “23” on the heel tab and Jumpman branding—add depth to the palette. The classic carbon fiber plate remains underfoot, paired with full‑length Zoom Air cushioning for enhanced responsiveness and court‑ready comfort. With full‑family sizing available and a retail price around $215 USD, this release is positioned as one of the most anticipated retros of the year.
Key Highlights
• Legendary OG Colorway Revival: Faithful return of the classic white/black/taxi yellow scheme first released in 1996.
• Premium Materials & Construction: White leather upper and textured black overlays with gold metallic eyelets offer both durability and visual impact.
• Classic Air Jordan 12 Performance Heritage: Incorporates carbon fiber shank and full‑length Zoom Air cushioning for comfort and support.
