The ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 'Burgundy Pink' (2025) revives a performance-driven running silhouette from the early 2010s, blending heritage technology with a contemporary lifestyle aesthetic. Originally introduced in 2014 as a neutral running shoe designed for long-distance comfort, the Gel-Cumulus 16 earned recognition for its balanced cushioning and smooth ride. In 2025, ASICS reintroduces the model with updated styling and modern streetwear appeal, highlighted by a rich burgundy palette accented with soft pink tones that elevate the technical runner into an everyday staple.
Overview
The ASICS Gel-Cumulus 16 'Burgundy Pink' features a breathable open-mesh upper that promotes airflow while maintaining a lightweight feel. Glossy synthetic leather overlays and seamless paneling provide structural support and reinforce the shoe’s signature 2010s performance aesthetic. The deep burgundy base is complemented by subtle pink accents and metallic silver ASICS branding, creating visual depth while preserving the silhouette’s athletic heritage.
Underfoot, the model maintains the cushioning system that defined the original release. Dual GEL technology inserts in the heel and forefoot are engineered to absorb shock and deliver a smoother transition during movement. The midsole incorporates FLUIDRIDE technology, designed to combine lightweight responsiveness with long-lasting cushioning, while FLYTEFOAM components enhance comfort and energy return. A durable rubber outsole with flex grooves supports natural motion and traction, ensuring the sneaker performs just as well in daily wear as it did on the run.
Key Highlights

• Burgundy and Pink Colorway: A rich burgundy mesh base paired with soft pink accents and metallic silver branding creates a bold yet refined aesthetic.
• Advanced Cushioning Technology: Dual GEL inserts combined with FLUIDRIDE and FLYTEFOAM midsole technologies provide shock absorption, lightweight comfort, and smooth transitions.
