The ASICS Gel-Kayano 12.1 ‘Kith Quartz’ (2026) represents a refined intersection of performance heritage and contemporary lifestyle design, continuing the long-standing partnership between ASICS and Kith. Rooted in ASICS’ iconic stability-runner lineage, this release reinterprets the Gel-Kayano 12.1 silhouette through a modern, fashion-forward lens, positioning it as both a collector’s piece and a versatile everyday sneaker.
Overview
The Gel-Kayano 12.1 ‘Kith Quartz’ is built on the recognisable Kayano 12.1 framework, a hybrid retro runner known for its layered construction and technical aesthetic. The upper features a mix of breathable mesh and supportive synthetic overlays, delivering depth and structure while maintaining comfort for all-day wear. The “Quartz” colourway introduces a soft, understated palette that enhances the model’s sculpted lines without overpowering its design, aligning with Kith’s signature approach to elevated minimalism. Underfoot, ASICS’ proven GEL cushioning technology provides impact absorption, while the supportive midfoot structure reinforces the silhouette’s performance roots. Subtle Kith branding details are integrated throughout, complementing the ASICS logos without detracting from the shoe’s heritage-driven identity.
Key Highlights
• Kith x ASICS Collaboration: A refined lifestyle interpretation of the Gel-Kayano 12.1, blending performance DNA with contemporary streetwear sensibility.
• Gel-Kayano 12.1 Silhouette: A retro-inspired runner known for its layered design and technical aesthetic, adapted for modern wear.
• Proven ASICS Cushioning: GEL technology in the midsole enhances comfort and shock absorption for daily use.
