The Nike SB Air Max 95 x Eric Koston 'Obsidian/Speed Yellow' (2025) brings skate-ready innovation to a legendary running silhouette, blending the distinctive layered look of the original Air Max 95 with functional upgrades inspired by skateboarding and personal touches from Eric Koston.
Overview
This special edition dresses the iconic Air Max 95 skeleton-inspired design in deep Obsidian suede and mesh, accented by vivid Speed Yellow on the Swoosh, eyelets, and tongue tags reading “Koston” and “Air Max.” A subtle Thai-script “Nike” on the lateral toe-tip honors Koston’s heritage, while Nike SB branding appears on the heel and sole. The classic visible Air units remain, but beneath the surface, alterations tailored for skate use — including reinforced double-stitched panels, more durable leather/suede construction, and a reworked outsole tread — transform this sneaker into a performance-ready yet stylish streetwear piece.
