The Old Skool first appeared in 1977 as Vans Style 36 and introduced the side stripe that became the brand's signature. Vans, founded in Anaheim in 1966, has since released the shoe in countless versions, and the Old Skool 36 returns to details closer to the original.
The LX tier brings upgraded materials and finishing to the classic low-top. This pair uses a navy base with souvenir-themed detailing, while keeping the side stripe, padded collar and vulcanised waffle outsole that skaters have relied on for decades.
