The Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 'Black White Blend' (CJ0277-003) is a laceless everyday running shoe that pairs Nike React foam with a slip-on Flyknit upper. Released on 17 July 2020, it uses black and white yarns knitted into a marled, blended finish.
Overview
The React Phantom Run line stripped the running shoe back to a sock-like build with no laces, and the Flyknit 2 refined that idea. The Nike React Phantom Run Flyknit 2 Black White Blend is one of the most understated versions of the model.
The upper is a single sock-like Flyknit sleeve, with black and white yarns knitted together for the blended look. Elastic Flywire cables through the midfoot give lockdown without laces, and pull tabs at the tongue and heel make it easy to slip on. A moulded heel clip holds the rear of the foot, the knit opens up at the forefoot for breathability, and a full-length React foam midsole sits on a rubber outsole.
The monochrome palette moves easily from runs to everyday wear. It works with joggers and shorts, and its clean shape also sits well with relaxed trousers.
