The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Laney’ (2013) stands as a distinctive tribute within Jordan Brand’s storied lineage, drawing direct inspiration from Michael Jordan’s high school roots at Emsley A. Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. This release translates school spirit into a bold colour narrative, reinforcing the Air Jordan 1’s legacy as both a performance icon and a cultural cornerstone. As part of the OG High lineup, it preserves the original silhouette that launched a revolution in basketball footwear and streetwear design.
Overview
The sneaker features a classic Air Jordan 1 High construction, built with a premium leather upper and defined by its striking Varsity Maize and Game Royal colour blocking. The vibrant yellow base reflects Laney High School’s colours, while deep blue overlays add contrast and depth across the toe, heel, and Swoosh. Signature Nike Air branding on the tongue reinforces its OG status, while the high-top silhouette delivers the structured ankle support synonymous with the original 1985 design. The combination of heritage storytelling and bold colour execution makes this pair a sought-after release among collectors and Jordan enthusiasts alike.
Key Highlights
