The ASICS Gel-Nimbus 10.1 'Cream Polar Night' revives a performance running aesthetic rooted in late-2000s design, blending archival innovation with contemporary lifestyle appeal. Inspired by the technical DNA of the original Gel-Nimbus 10 introduced in 2008, this updated 10.1 iteration maintains the silhouette’s signature layered construction and cushioning technology while presenting a refined neutral palette suited for modern rotation. The 'Cream Polar Night' colorway balances understated cream tones with deep navy accents, delivering a versatile look that highlights the shoe’s intricate paneling and technical heritage.
Overview
The upper of the Gel-Nimbus 10.1 features breathable open-mesh underlays paired with synthetic leather overlays that recreate the structured, performance-driven look associated with late-2000s ASICS running models. The Cream base provides a clean, neutral backdrop, while Polar Night navy accents emphasize the ASICS Tiger Stripes branding and structural overlays throughout the upper. Underfoot, the sneaker retains the segmented midsole design characteristic of the original Gel-Nimbus 10 platform, integrating visible GEL cushioning in both the forefoot and heel for shock absorption and long-lasting comfort. A TRUSSTIC support system reinforces the midfoot, enhancing stability while maintaining a lightweight feel. Completing the design is a durable rubber outsole engineered for everyday traction, reinforcing the model’s roots in performance running while transitioning seamlessly into modern streetwear styling.
Key Highlights
• Heritage Running Design: Inspired by the original Gel-Nimbus 10 (2008), featuring the silhouette’s distinctive layered upper and segmented midsole construction.
• GEL Cushioning Technology: Visible GEL units in the forefoot and heel provide impact absorption and everyday comfort.
• 'Cream Polar Night' Colorway: A versatile combination of neutral cream tones with deep navy accents that highlight the shoe’s technical paneling and ASICS Tiger Stripes branding.
