NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra 'Distant Regards Collection - Pink Quartz' reinvents the cult‑favorite Hot Step silhouette with a distinctive aesthetic and premium performance features, anchored in the globally‑inspired NOCTA philosophy co‑created by Drake and Nike. As part of the 2023 Distant Regards Collection — a capsule rooted in the vibrancy and lifestyle of Nigeria — this Pink Quartz iteration blends fashion‑forward design with heritage elements that nod to both retro running influences and modern streetwear culture.
Overview
Dressed in a soft Pink Quartz palette with subtle grey accents and white midsole, the sneaker’s upper is crafted with faux snakeskin‑textured leather that gives the silhouette an elevated yet rugged look. Perforated oval detailing across the midfoot reveals a reflective underlay, enhancing both breathability and a premium visual depth. The sculpted midsole, inspired by the 1999 Air Terra Humara design, offers a fusion of Nike’s Zoom Air cushioning in the forefoot and a visible Air‑Sole unit in the heel for responsive impact protection and long‑lasting comfort during extended wear. A grippy gum rubber outsole provides stable traction underfoot, reinforcing the shoe’s versatility from urban terrain to casual weekend styling. Co‑branded elements like subtle mini Swooshes and NOCTA tongue badges deliver unmistakable collaborative flair while preserving a clean, contemporary profile.
Key Highlights
• Distinct Pink Quartz Colorway: Soft pastel pink tones complemented by grey and white details make this pair a standout seasonal icon.
• Premium Faux Snakeskin Upper: Textured leather with reflective perforations blends elevated style with functional airflow.
• Enhanced Cushioning System: Zoom Air units in the forefoot and a visible Air‑Sole heel unit ensure superior comfort and impact protection.
