Description
The Air Jordan AJKO Retro Hi RTTG 'Barcelona' (2012) celebrates the global influence of basketball through a design inspired by the vibrant culture and energy of Barcelona, Spain. Released as part of Jordan Brand’s celebrated “Road to the Gold” collection ahead of the 2012 Summer Games, the sneaker reimagines the classic AJKO silhouette with bold color blocking and premium materials that reflect the spirit of international competition. Originally introduced in 1986 as an alternative version of the Air Jordan 1, the AJKO distinguished itself through its canvas construction and unique interpretation of one of the most iconic basketball sneakers ever created. The ‘Barcelona’ edition continues that legacy, combining heritage design with contemporary flair for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Overview The Air Jordan AJKO Retro Hi RTTG 'Barcelona' (2012) features a striking combination of deep red canvas uppers contrasted by vibrant turquoise overlays, delivering a color palette inspired by the architecture and artistic identity associated with Barcelona. Black accents on the Swoosh, laces, collar, and Wings logo provide balance while reinforcing the sneaker’s vintage basketball aesthetic. Staying true to the AJKO lineage, the silhouette utilizes durable canvas construction rather than the traditional leather seen on the Air Jordan 1, offering a lighter and more textured finish. A classic white midsole and contrasting outsole complete the retro-inspired look, ensuring timeless wearability both on and off the court. Authenticity is guaranteed with PUSHAS, where every pair is meticulously authenticated by our team of experts. Key Highlights • Part of the ‘Road to the Gold’ Collection: Released in 2012 to celebrate the global basketball stage and inspired by the culture and vibrancy of Barcelona. • Classic AJKO Canvas Construction: Features the signature canvas upper that distinguishes the AJKO from the traditional leather Air Jordan 1 silhouette. • Bold Retro Colourway: Combines rich red, turquoise, black, and white tones for a standout vintage basketball aesthetic that remains highly collectible today.
