First released in 1989 and worn by Michael Jordan when he hit 'The Shot' over Cleveland that same spring, the White Cement is one of the most storied colourways in the Jordan Brand archive. Returning on 24 May 2025 under style code FV5029-100 — its first full retro since 2016 — this edition carries the official Summit White/Fire Red-Tech Grey-Black palette and the OG detailing collectors demand.
Overview
Tinker Hatfield's 1989 design returns in faithful form: a crisp white leather upper set against Tech Grey cement-speckled detailing across the wing eyelets and midsole — the signature graphic that gave the colourway its name. Black accents on the mesh quarter panels, wings and lining sharpen the contrast, while a Fire Red Jumpman on the tongue nods directly to the original. Most importantly, 'Nike Air' branding is restored to the heel, connecting this release straight back to 1989 and the celebrated 2016 retro rather than the Jumpman-heel editions in between.
