The Air Jordan 6 is the shoe Tinker Hatfield designed for 1991, the season Michael Jordan won his first NBA championship, and its sculpted lines were inspired by his German sports car. Of every Air Jordan 6 colourway around right now, our number one pick is the 2026 'Reverse Infrared Salesman', a sample from 1999 that finally released.

The Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Reverse Infrared Salesman' leads our list, and it sits with the rest of the Air Jordan range live now at PUSHAS, where every pair is authenticated by hand. Below are our eight picks, ranked on design and story.

The Air Jordan 6 in brief

Hatfield gave the sixth signature shoe a sleek, sculpted shape. The heel pull tab was designed to resemble a spoiler and makes the shoe easier to put on. Inside is a neoprene inner bootie, and the outsole carries over the translucent rubber first seen on the Air Jordan 5. Jordan wore the model as the Bulls won their first title in 1991.

How we ranked them

These are our picks, judged on four things: how well the colour blocking suits the Air Jordan 6's lines, the materials used, the story behind the pair, and how easily it wears day to day. Every pair on the list is live now.

1. Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Reverse Infrared Salesman'

The Reverse Infrared Salesman takes its name from a salesman sample. It began as a 1999 sample that never went to public release, and it finally arrived on 14 February 2026 under style code CT8529-001. The upper is black nubuck with the familiar perforated panels, but the blocking is flipped: there is more Infrared across the midsole than on the original Black Infrared, and the Nike Air branding on the heel is Infrared instead of black.

The flipped blocking is why it tops our list.

2. Air Jordan 6 Retro x Awake NY 'Midnight Navy'

Angelo Baque's Awake NY followed its Air Jordan 5 work with this Air Jordan 6 'Midnight Navy', style code IQ5706-400, made to mark the model's 35th anniversary. Midnight Navy panels run alongside Game Royal and Light Blue, Infrared 23 stitching runs across the upper, and the Awake NY 'A' logo takes over the perforated side panel. The midsole mixes black and Infrared above a translucent outsole.

It keeps the Air Jordan 6 shape and changes the colours and branding.

3. Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Black Infrared'

This is the colourway Jordan wore to beat the Lakers for his first championship. The 2019 Black Infrared, style code 384664-060, released on 16 February 2019 over All-Star Weekend in black nubuck with Infrared on the midsole, tongue and heel. It brought back the original Nike Air branding on the heel.

4. Air Jordan 6 x Travis Scott 'British Khaki'

Travis Scott's 'British Khaki' Air Jordan 6, style code DH0690-200, released on 30 April 2021. A khaki suede upper carries his signature stash pocket on the side, with Bright Crimson picking out the Jumpman and Nike Air. It pairs easily with neutrals.

5. Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Toro Bravo'

The Toro Bravo, style code CT8529-600, landed on 24 May 2023 in Varsity Red suede with black on the midsole and heel pull tab. The red-and-black pairing follows the Bulls' team colours.

6. Air Jordan 6 Retro 'UNC White'

The UNC White (CT8529-410) takes its colours from the University of North Carolina. Released on 5 March 2022, it blocks University Blue against white with a college-style jock tag on the heel. It suits spring and summer.

7. Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Aqua'

The Aqua (CT8529-004) arrived on 7 October 2023 and borrows its palette from the Air Jordan 8 'Aqua'. Black nubuck sets off Bright Concord purple and Aquatone teal, with icy translucent rubber at the heel and forefoot. Its colours come from the early nineties, and the black base keeps it easy to style.

8. Air Jordan 6 Retro 'Yellow Ochre'

Closing the list, the Yellow Ochre (CT8529-170) released on 27 January 2024. A white base carries Yellow Ochre with black details and an icy translucent outsole. The white base keeps the profile clean.
