The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals Booster Display Box holds 36 sealed booster packs from the tenth main expansion of the Scarlet & Violet series. Destined Rivals puts heroic Trainers and Team Rocket on opposite sides of the table, with Trainer's Pokémon and Team Rocket's Pokémon at the centre of the set. For anyone who wants to open the expansion properly, the full display is the way to do it.

The Destined Rivals Booster Display Box is live now in the Pokémon trading cards range at PUSHAS, and every box is authenticated by hand. Below is what the set is, what sits inside the display, and how it compares with the Elite Trainer Box.

The story: choose a side

Destined Rivals is built around a simple question: whose side are you on? The official framing has Team Rocket setting its latest plan in motion while heroic Trainers race to stop it. You can join Cynthia and Garchomp ex, Ethan and Ho-Oh ex, or Arven and Mabosstiff ex, or switch loyalties and fight alongside Team Rocket's Pokémon, led by Mewtwo ex under Giovanni's command.

That rivalry runs through the whole card list. Beyond Team Rocket and the three Trainers above, the set gives cards to Misty, Marnie and Steven, so the Pokémon you open belong to someone. Cynthia's Garchomp ex, Ethan's Ho-Oh ex and Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex lead the line-up.

Trainer's Pokémon and Team Rocket's Pokémon

The headline mechanic is the Trainer's Pokémon card. Rather than a plain Garchomp or Mewtwo, each card is tied to a named Trainer, and the name is part of the card itself. It changes how you build a deck: you are not just choosing Pokémon, you are choosing whose team you field.

Team Rocket gets the biggest share. The set counts over 85 Trainer's Pokémon, and more than 45 of them are Team Rocket's Pokémon. Giovanni's crew is the villain of the set and the largest group of Trainer's Pokémon in it.

What is in the set

Destined Rivals released in English on 30 May 2025. It has 182 cards in the main set and 244 cards in total once the secret cards are counted. Within that list sit more than 15 Pokémon ex, more than 20 Trainer cards, and more than 45 Pokémon and Trainer cards with special illustrations.

The English set draws on two Japanese releases: The Glory of Team Rocket and Heat Wave Arena. That lineage is why the card list feels so focused, with one release built around Team Rocket and the other around rival Trainers.

Inside the booster display

The Booster Display Box is the simplest product in the Destined Rivals line. It holds 36 booster packs, and each pack contains 10 cards. That is 360 Destined Rivals cards from one sealed box, enough for a serious run at the main set or a long night of opening with friends.

A display suits a few kinds of collector. Set builders use it as the base for completing a master set. Players use it to find the Trainer's Pokémon ex their deck needs. Sealed collectors keep it unopened on the shelf as the complete, original form of the expansion.

The Elite Trainer Box, compared

The Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is aimed at the player. It includes 9 Destined Rivals booster packs, a full-art foil promo card featuring Team Rocket's Wobbuffet, 65 card sleeves, 45 Pokémon TCG Energy cards, a player's guide to the expansion, 6 damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, 2 plastic condition markers, a code card for Pokémon Trading Card Game Live, and a collector's box with 4 dividers to hold it all.

The display gives you volume. The Elite Trainer Box gives you fewer packs, plus the kit to sleeve up and play the same afternoon, and the Team Rocket's Wobbuffet promo.
