Description

Toga x Asics Gel-Cumulus 16 - Grey Black Silver redefines a modern classic by fusing ASICS’ revered running‑shoe heritage with TOGA’s forward‑thinking design ethos. Part of the 2025 TOGA × ASICS GEL‑Cumulus 16 collection, this iteration elevates the neutral trainer silhouette into a lifestyle centerpiece, blending technical performance features with fashion‑forward accents. Released globally on October 17, 2025, the collaboration quickly became a standout in both the sneaker and fashion communities for its unique aesthetic and enduring comfort.

Overview

The ASICS GEL‑Cumulus 16 first debuted in 2014 as a premier neutral trainer, celebrated for its plush cushioning and smooth ride underfoot — qualities that return in this TOGA‑enhanced version. The upper combines breathable mesh with plush suede and bold synthetic leather overlays for a layered, textured look. TOGA’s influence is evident through its signature double lacing system, elongated speed laces, silver concho details at the eyelets, and an architectural external heel counter that gives the sneaker an avant‑garde edge. Beneath the expressive design lies ASICS’ core performance DNA: dual GEL® technology inserts in the rearfoot and forefoot and a midsole engineered with FLUIDRIDE™ and lightweight FLYTEFOAM™ technology deliver the soft, shock‑absorbing comfort the GEL‑Cumulus lineage is known for. This blend of form and function makes the shoe versatile enough for all‑day wear, whether styled with streetwear or used as a daily trainer.

Key Highlights

• TOGA’s Experimental Aesthetic: Distinctive design elements — including dual lacing, metallic embellishments, and layered materials — introduce a fashion‑forward reinterpretation of the classic GEL‑Cumulus silhouette.
• Balanced Cushioning & Comfort: Dual GEL® technology inserts in both heel and forefoot, enhanced by FLUIDRIDE™ and FLYTEFOAM™ midsole technology, ensure responsive cushioning and smooth transitions for everyday wear.
• Breathable, Layered Construction: Mesh base paired with suede and synthetic overlays provides structured support without sacrificing airflow or comfort.
