Originally designed by Sean McDowell in 1998 — famously inspired by Florida sunsets and palm trees — the Air Max Plus lineage has remained a streetwear staple for nearly three decades. This seventh-generation iteration channels that legacy into a crisp, summer-ready colorway that pairs clean aesthetics with the model's signature aggressive design language.
Overview
Built on a foundation of white breathable mesh, the upper keeps the profile lightweight while allowing the shoe's layered construction to take centre stage. Cascading across the upper from toe to heel are raised rubber overlays in Blue Crystal, varying in shape and size to create the futuristic, wave-like texture that has defined the Air Max Plus since its inception. A glossy Blue Crystal mudguard hugs the toe box and wraps along the lower portion of the upper, contrasting the mesh with a sleek, polished finish. A miniature metallic Swoosh sits cleanly at the midfoot, while Metallic Silver thermoplastic polyurethane support straps reinforce the heel and flow into the midsole. The midsole houses Nike's signature visible Tuned Air units with blue-tinted windows that tie the colour scheme together, and a black rubber outsole provides traction underneath.
