Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 'Kill Bill' reimagines a sneaker icon for enthusiasts of both heritage style and cinematic lore. This edition celebrates the unforgettable presence of the Mexico 66 silhouette in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill Vol. 1, featuring the bold yellow and black palette that Uma Thurman wore in the film’s climactic scenes. Originally launched on 24 January 2022, the Mexico 66 ‘Kill Bill’ remains a standout piece that bridges performance heritage and contemporary streetwear appeal.
Overview
Staying true to the classic Mexico 66 design first introduced by Onitsuka Tiger in the 1960s, this ‘Kill Bill’ edition features a striking yellow leather upper with contrasting black Tiger stripes, instantly recognizable and deeply rooted in pop culture history. Built with premium materials, including a leather upper and a low‑profile rubber sole, it offers a sleek silhouette that pairs effortlessly with casual or styled outfits, whether for everyday wear or collector rotation. Its retro aesthetic resonates with both sneaker purists and modern fashion lovers who appreciate minimalist yet bold design.
Key Highlights
• Cinematic Pop Culture Inspiration: Pays homage to the iconic yellow and black look worn in Kill Bill, giving this classic silhouette a strong narrative and visual impact.
• Heritage Sneaker Architecture: Retains the timeless low‑profile shape and crossed stripes that made the Mexico 66 a design classic since its origins in the 1960s.
• Premium Leather Construction: Durable yet supple leather upper ensures comfort and longevity for daily wear.
