Tinker Hatfield Speaks at Semi Permanent Sydney 2018

This year, Semi Permanent is bringing to you Tinker Hatfield - one of the most iconic Nike Designers ever. If you're an Air Max or Jordan fan, you definitely need to come through to hear from Nike's Vice President for Design and Special Projects.
Hatfield oversees Nike's 'Innovation Kitchen' which brings into the sneaker scene the most beloved sneaker design languages that continue to permeate sneaker culture today.

Semi Permanent is part of the Vivid Ideas program which is Asia Pacific’s annual celebration of innovation, creativity and community, building engagement between the creative industries and the broader economy, exploring trends, movements and opportunities that shape society.

Legendary Nike Air Jordan designer Tinker Hatfield is their first announced guest speaker and he'll delineate a 36+ year career through his most celebrated shoe designs.
Tinker Hatfield is responsible for designs from the iconic Jordan 3 all the way to the Jordan 15.
However, he is probably most well-known for his game-changing designs with the Air Max 1 as well as the Air Max 90.
And of course, he was honoured as one of Fortune magazine's "100 Most Influential Designers" of the 20th century in 1998.
If you really want to learn more about the culture, it is imperative that you come through and listen to one of the most influential sneaker designers of our time.
Tinker Hatfield alone is worth your time.
However, there are also other notable speakers at the event. Scott Dadich (former WIRED Editor-in-Chief and Executive Producer of Netflix series ‘Abstract: The Art of Design’), Patrick Godfrey, Paula Scher, Alex Schleifer, VP of Design at Airbnb, and Ajaz Ahmed, will all be making an appearance and speaking at the event.
