The Nike Kobe 5 Protro 'Lower Merion Aces Away' (IM0557-001) is a performance retro of the 2010 Kobe 5 that honoured Kobe Bryant's high school team. Released on 23 March 2026, it recreates the Lower Merion road uniform colours with an Aces emblem and Kobe's #33 on the heels.
Overview
Kobe Bryant played high school basketball at Lower Merion High School in Pennsylvania, wearing #33. The original 2010 'Lower Merion Aces' Away colourway became one of the Kobe releases most closely tied to his early career, and the Kobe 5 Protro Lower Merion Aces Away brings it back.
The official colourway is Metallic Silver/Team Red-White. A lightweight synthetic upper in metallic silver carries Team Red Swooshes and heel counter, with white laces and midsole accents. One heel shows a Team Red Aces emblem and the other Kobe's #33, while the Sheath logo sits on the tongue. As a Protro, it adds upgraded Zoom Air cushioning and improved traction over the original.
The Kobe 5 Lower Merion Aces Away is built to play in and easy to wear off court. The silver and red palette pairs with grey sweats, black denim and varsity-inspired layers.
