ASICS Gel-Nimbus 10.1 'Violet Quartz Cool Matcha' continues the celebrated GEL‑Nimbus lineage as a standout 2024 release that blends iconic retro design with cutting‑edge performance technology for both runners and lifestyle wearers. Emerging from ASICS’ long heritage of premium cushioning and ergonomic engineering, this colorway pairs a soft Violet Quartz base with contrasting Cool Matcha accents for a visually engaging palette that feels fresh yet timeless. The sneaker’s modern reinterpretation of late‑2000s running aesthetics makes it as suitable on pavement as it is on everyday streets, offering both athletic capability and contemporary style appeal.
Overview
Rooted in the original GEL‑Nimbus design first developed in the late 1990s and refined through its 10.1 update, the ASICS Gel‑Nimbus 10.1 features a lightweight, asymmetrical mesh and synthetic upper that supports natural foot movement while maximizing breathability. This dynamic construction nods to the model’s iconic heritage while enhancing comfort and fit for modern wearers. Underfoot, dual‑layer EVA foam combines with strategically placed GEL® technology inserts in both the forefoot and heel to deliver plush impact absorption and fluid stride transitions. ASICS’ TRUSSTIC® system integrated within the midsole further stabilizes the foot, reducing pronation risk and enhancing structural support without adding weight. The result is a shoe that excels in long runs, all‑day wear, or active lifestyle use — all wrapped in a standout violet and green color story that elevates your sneaker rotation.
Key Highlights
• Asymmetrical mesh and synthetic upper engineered for breathable comfort and adaptive fit
• Dual‑layer EVA midsole paired with GEL® technology in forefoot and heel for superior cushioning and shock absorption
• TRUSSTIC® support system enhances midfoot stability for smooth transitions and better performance
