Where they are strong

Breadth. An obscure silhouette in an unusual size is more likely to be listed. GOAT carries pre-owned pairs. StockX publishes live bid and offer data, which is useful if you follow market value closely.

Where they are weak

The after-sale.

On StockX, a change-of-mind return exists only for US customers, only on Verified Marketplace items carrying the "14 Day Return" label, and only as StockX Credit. Listings and Live Marketplace purchases are not eligible.

On GOAT, you can request a return within 30 days on eligible new items, but the refund is GOAT Credit less shipping both ways, and US buyers can be charged a return processing fee of up to 15% of the item price. Final Sale, used and auction items are excluded.

Australian orders over A$1,000 shipping from overseas may still be charged on arrival, and buyers outside Australia pay duties on arrival. Pay by card, PayPal, Afterpay, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Shop Pay.

Buying in Australia

For an Australian address, where a marketplace is based changes almost everything after you click pay.

StockX and GOAT are based overseas. GOAT lists its fees in US dollars, estimates 5 to 30 business days for delivery outside the US, and states that non-US buyers are responsible for the customs duties and taxes billed by their country. StockX charges import duties and sales tax based on the shipping address, with dynamic processing fees on top.

On PUSHAS, prices show in Australian dollars and GST and duties are calculated at checkout. Only orders over A$1,000 shipping from an overseas facility may be charged on arrival. Afterpay is accepted. Carriers include Australia Post, CouriersPlease, DHL and TNT, and PO boxes are accepted. Support is in Sydney.
