The ASICS GT-2160 'Paris' (2024) marks a sophisticated evolution of the iconic GT-2000 series, blending heritage running technology with fashion-forward sensibility. Released as part of ASICS' global city-inspired series, this model pays tribute to the elegance and romance of Paris through a refined palette and modernized tooling that appeals to both sneaker purists and lifestyle enthusiasts.
Overview
The GT-2160 'Paris' showcases a cream-toned mesh upper layered with off-white synthetic leather overlays, subtly accented by pastel pink hues throughout the heel and forefoot. These delicate tones are reflective of the city's renowned architecture and romantic ambiance. ASICS’ iconic tiger stripes are rendered in a soft silver finish, lending a contemporary feel to the archival design. The segmented midsole—featuring GEL™ cushioning technology in the rearfoot—maintains the runner-inspired DNA of the original 2010s silhouette while offering improved comfort for casual wear. A sculpted heel structure and TRUSSTIC™ support system reinforce the sneaker’s technical roots, balancing stability with style. As a part of ASICS’ curated homage to global capitals, the 'Paris' edition subtly embodies the elegance and timeless charm associated with the City of Light.
